Indications |

- Chronic or habitual constipation
- Hepatic encephalopathy
- Bowel decontamination
- Diagnostic purpose (Lactulose is used to investigate GI
disorders)
- Fish odours syndrome Lactulose provides benefits in
removing the odour

Dosage
|
|
|
In chronic constipation Adults
10 to 20 gms (15 30 ml) given daily by mouth in a
single dose or in two divided doses. Maximum dose 40 gms (60 ml) The dose may be
adjusted according o need.
Children
